Mrs. Lorraine M. (Ripley) Sampson, a longtime resident of Andover and beloved wife of the late John D. “Jack” Sampson, passed away at the Lawrence General Hospital on Thursday evening, October 12, 2017. She was 90 years old.
Born in Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Ellen (McKenna) Ripley. Mrs. Sampson was selfless and caring person who gave much of her own time to the Lawrence General Auxillary Thrift Shop, which she managed for many years.
She was the loving mother of Mark Sampson of Andover and Keith and his wife Leanna Sampson of Corte Madera, California and grandmother of John and William Sampson of Andover Sophia Sampson of Corte Madera, California. Lorraine was also the sister of the late Andrea Russo.
Her Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Monday, October 16, 2017, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend.
