In Taunton, October 7, 2017 David E. Elias, Age 71, passed away in Longmeadow Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. Davis is survived by his wife Geraldine “Gerry” (Gowan) Elias of East Taunton. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late Manuel & Deolinda (Roupa) Elias. David had resided most of his life in Taunton. He served his country while in both the U.S. Air Force, then was employed at Fortifiber Company in Attleboro. David reentered in the U.S. Army, serving for over twenty years until his retirement. He enjoyed watching the Red Sox, camping and spending time with his friends and family. In addition to his wife, David leaves his children Geraldine DeSilvia of Taunton, Annette Brown and her husband Keith of Pevely, Missouri, Christopher Elias of Taunton and son in law Paul DeSilvia. His grandchildren, Ryan, Shawn, David, Calin, Meagan, Joshua, Brian and great grandson Brayden. David also leaves his sister Linda Smith of Atlanta, Georgia. Services are private at the request of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton, MA.
