Tammy Sue (Rains) Blades, 57, of Anderson died at her residence after an extended illness.
Tammy was born September 19, 1960 in Anderson, the daughter of Richard and Wilma (Pritchard) Rains. She graduated from Highland High School in 1978 and St. Joseph School of Nursing in Fort Wayne as a Registered Nurse since 1982. She worked at Methodist Hospital and Above and Beyond Homecare.
She loved to sew and quilt and enjoyed camping, shooting and fishing.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, David "Eric" Blades of Anderson whom she married May 1, 1982; son, Dustin (Fiancée Liz Haler Blades and daughter, Amber Blades; brother, Richard (Sherry) Rains; special aunt, Wanda Rody; niece, Hannah Rains; several cousins and special dogs, "Jed" and "Sallie"
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Ned Clark officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. with a nursing honor guard service prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital Foundation.
