Jose M. “Manecas” Aguiar, age 50, of Fall River, passed away on Saturday October 7, 2017 unexpectedly surrounded by his loving family at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Feteiras do Sul Açores he was the son of Maria C. Aguiar and the late José S. Aguiar. When Jose was younger he loved playing hockey and soccer and was also a member of Fall River United Soccer Team. He worked as a construction worker for many years and enjoyed listening to music, being outdoors and loved spending time with his family especially his two younger nieces Casandra and Alyssa.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his children Kevin, Kyle, Keith and Kris Aguiar of Stoughton, MA, sisters; Maria Faria (husband John), Ana and Lina Aguiar of Fall River, MA, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Maria Soares.
His funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling Hours on Wednesday 5-8 P.M.
