Duxbury – Thomas C. Chase 50, a resident of Duxbury for over twenty years, died unexpectedly on Wednesday October 4.
Born in Melrose, he was the son of Sharon N. (Till) Chase of Revere and Halifax and the late Thomas A. Chase.
Thomas was raised in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School. He was also a graduate of the Pipe Fitters Training School and had been a proud member for over twenty-five years of the Pipe Fitters Union, Local #537.
He loved to travel and was an avid fan of the Boston sports teams. Recently he had become interested in golfing and had started playing locally on a regular basis.
He was a devoted father, and his greatest joy was the time spent with his children.
Thomas will be lovingly remembered for saving the lives of many as an “Organ Donor”.
In addition to his mother Sharon, he is survived by his children Caitlin Chase and Thomas Chase, Jr. both of Duxbury. He is also survived by his longtime companion Carrie Sumner also of Duxbury.
Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service to be held Tuesday October 10 at 7:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 4:00-7:00 PM.
