Mary C. (Mahoney) Pantone, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Care One At Wilmington Nursing Home in Wilmington. She was 78 years old.
Mary was born in Boston on November 29, 1938, a daughter of the late Timothy W. Mahoney and Mary (Collins) Mahoney. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system. Mary was a homemaker most of her adult life making it a priority to care for her husband and children who always had a kind word for people and thought of others before herself. She enjoyed shopping and was always very thoughtful about animals.
Mary is the beloved wife of the late Salvatore R. Pantone. She is the devoted mother of Marie Tucker and her husband Edzo, Anthony Pantone and his late companion Laurie Rabbitt and Joseph Pantone and his wife Patricia. She is the loving Nana to Sarah, Edward Jr., Brittany, Joseph, Michael, Danielle, Shayla, the late Maria Tucker and also her great-granddaughters Arianna and Aubreigh. She is the beloved sister of William Mahoney, John Mahoney, Rita Mahoney and the late Joseph Mahoney and Timothy Mahoney. She is the sister-in-law of Rita Mahoney. She is also lovingly survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary's Funeral on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Her visiting hours will be on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
