LACONIA - Margaret Jean Peterson, 85, of 435 Union Ave, died Monday, September 25, 2017 at Lakes Region General Hospital.
She was born on February 2, 1932 in Hartford, CT., the daughter of the late George H. and Leila (Wiggin) Harper. Margaret received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Brown University in CT. She was a longtime and active member of the Melvin Village Community Church in NH where she participated in many a church bizarre and playing of bells in the bell choir. Margaret was also a member of the hiker's club.
She is survived by her son, Douglas R. Peterson and his wife Mitzi of Jacobstown, NJ, two daughters; Janet M. McMillan and her husband Robert of Fairmount, WV and Susan H. Peterson and her partner Rudy Kelvey of Bordertown, NJ, four grandchildren; Chelsie L. and Kayla M. Peterson, Heather Pach and Robert McMillan and five great grandchildren; Tony, Katie, Ryan, Morgan and Aspen. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Neale L. Peterson and one son, Lawrence N. Peterson.
There will be no calling hours.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30PM on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Melvin Village Community Church, 476 Governor John Wentworth Hwy, Melvin Village, NH.
Burial will be private.
