Kathleen (Swank) Selser, 60 formerly of Boston and Mansfield passed away on September 24, 2017 at the Wingate Nursing Home in Sharon.
Born on July 24, 1957 in Boston, she was a daughter of Alice (Fountain) Goodwin and Robert Swank. She was the beloved stepdaughter to Edward Goodwin.
Kathleen grew up in Mansfield and attended Mansfield High School. As a teenager she did modeling at the Barbazon School of Modeling. She was an avid gardener often growing her own vegetables and herbs. Kathy spent a lot of time at Rhode Island Beaches as she loved the ocean.
In addition to growing up in Mansfield, Ms. Selser had lived in Phoenix, AZ. Kathy and her ex husband Jay Selser moved to Arizona in the early 1980’s where they had 2 sons, Nicholas and Robert.
Kathleen enjoyed being a Homemaker and loved taking care of her two sons. In her spare time she loved to paint. She loved animals, leaving behind her beloved cat.
She is survived by her mother Alice (Fountain) Goodwin and stepfather Edward Goodwin. She also leaves her two sons, Robert Selser of Norfolk and Nicholas Selser of Boston. She is also survived by her siblings Karen (Goodwin) Roy of Attleboro, Daniel Goodwin and his wife AnnMarie of Foxboro. She leaves her brother Robert Swank, and also was the sister of the late Stevie Swank.
At the request of her family, Kathleen’s funeral services will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a local animal shelter.
