Mary (Gleason) Senter, 87, of Medway died peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Richard T. Senter who died on April 16, 2016.
Born in Worcester on December 3, 1929, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Eleanor M. (Fairfield) Gleason.
Mrs. Senter grew up in Worcester and was a resident of Medway for over 50 years.
She was a graduate of the former Vesper George School of Art in Boston and also had taken courses at the Rhode Island School of Design, Worcester Art Museum and Decordova Art Museum.
Retiring in 1993, Mrs. Senter had worked at the former Suburban World newspaper in Needham since 1979.
She enjoyed attending plein air watercolor workshops and loved nature, the outdoors, hiking and cherished her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Robin Kimberling and her husband Charles of West Sand Lake, New York and Sharon Millier and her husband Richard of West Brookfield and four grandchildren, Chuck Kimberling and his fiancée Sara Lownsbury, Drew Millier and his wife Trisha, Holly Millier and her fiancé Joseph DeJessa and Brett Millier and his wife Michelle.
She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Sophie and Olivia Millier and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Hart C. Gleason.
At Mrs. Senter’s request, there will be no funeral services.
