Frank V. Busnengo, 81, of New Bedford died Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Sacred Heart Home after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Libero and Annie (Rigazio) Busnengo, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Frank was a graduate of New Bedford High School and Wentworth Institute in Boston.
He was formerly employed as a tax examiner with the Massachusetts Department of Taxation until his retirement.
Frank enjoyed reading, walking, gardening, listening to classical music, and taking trips to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.
He is survived by his sister, Linda Poyant and her husband Roger; his nephew, Kevin Poyant; two nieces, Annemarie LeFever and her husband Christopher, and Donna Poyant; his great-niece, Abigail LeFever; an aunt; and several cousins.
His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 10 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 3-6 PM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
