Martha Viola Patton Brooks, 76, of Sparks passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Gene Owen officiating. Mrs. Brooks will be laid to rest at Isabella Baptist Church Cemetery in Worth County. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 26, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Kenny Allen, Jay Allen, Charles Bryant, Robert Edwards, Derek Hernandez and Allen Fray will serve as pallbearers.
Born February 20, 1941 in Sylvester, Mrs. Brooks was the daughter of late Earl Charlie Patton and Fannie Beatrice Jordan Patton. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Patton and Alvin Patton; and one sister, Virginia Hernandez. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Brooks is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James Buddy and Rita Hampton of Leesburg and William Dewayne and Patricia Brooks of Sparks; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathy McCranie of Adel and Wanda and Chris Owen of Sparks; seven grandchildren, Joshua Coker, Lorenzo Charles, Venicia Cervantes, Sarah Hampton, Will Brooks, Savannah McCranie and Bailey Griffin; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
