Obituary

William (Billy) Medeiros, age 77 of Taunton, passed away on September 21, 2017 at Oak Hill Nursing Home in Middleboro.

He was the beloved husband of the late Helen (Donnelly) Medeiros.
William was born in Taunton, a son of the late Joseph and Alice (White) Medeiros.

Mr. Medeiros was a member of the Teamsters Union and before retirement worked as a forklift operator with Foster Southeastern Construction for over 30 years.
He was an Army veteran, Billy enjoyed boating and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Most of all he was a loving and caring person who was devoted to his family. His humor and love of laughter were enjoyed by many.

Mr. Medeiros was the loving father of Eamon Medeiros and his wife Stacie of North Dighton, grandfather of Liam, Zoey and Jack Medeiros. He was the brother of James Medeiros of Taunton and his wife Cheryl and brother of the late Joseph Medeiros and uncle to a niece and several nephews as well as a dear friend to many.

William’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 8:30 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Nicholas of Myra Church Spring St, North Dighton.

Interment with military honors will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, September 25th in the Silva Funeral Home from 4 to 7pm.
(Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home)
