ACUSHNET — Evelyn V. Kolz, age 84 years, of Acushnet, died peacefully at home on Thursday September 21, 2017 surrounded by her family.
Born in South Portland, Maine, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Hazel (Dean) Powers and worked as an assembler at Isotronics.
She is survived by three sons Robert Harrison and his wife Cindy of N.B., Brian Harrison and his wife Ann of N.B., and Paul Ledoux of Acushnet, two daughters Cheryl Costa and her husband Gerald of Douqlas, Ma., and Debra Sohmer and her husband Bradley of Rochester, Ma., her sister-in-law Rose Powers, her brothers George Powers and his wife Barbara, Paul Powers and his wife Joanne, and James Powers, her sister Pat Tetrault and her husband Louis, and several grand and great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was the mother of the late William Harrison, and sister of the late Richard Powers and Marilyn dosSantos and Doris Brainerd.
Visitation will take place in the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford on Friday, from 6-8 P.M. Her funeral service will be on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by burial in Rural Cemetery.
