Obituary

Tom D. Bianchi, age 56, entered into rest on September 18, 2017 at Chaplaincy Hospice in Kennewick. He was born on February 9, 1961 to Tom Charles and Hazel Louise (Mathews) Bianchi in Seattle, Washington where he was raised and educated. The family moved to Prosser in 1975 and Tom attended Prosser High School. In 1977, Tom moved to Seattle and later lived in Portland and Las Vegas. He worked in retail sales all of his life and was manager of the Burlington store in Las Vegas and in Kennewick when he returned to Prosser in 2008. He was most recently manager of Tuesday Morning in Kennewick until illness forced his retirement.

Tom enjoyed quilting and was an avid antique collector and dealer.

Tom is survived by his mother, Hazel Louise Bianchi of Prosser; his daughter, Tomi Qualman of Pullman; his siblings, Cindy Merlino (Mark) of Elma, Monte Bianchi (Caela) of Moxee, and Roy Bianchi (Teresa) and Peggy Bianchi all of Wenatchee; his step-sister, Sherry Ballantyne (Tom) of Lynnwood; step-brother, David Emery (Anita) of Selah; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Vance (Mike), Wes Trotter, Greg and Mathew Merlino, Nicole and Kayleigh Merlino and Eric and Taylor Bianchi; and seven great-nephews and one great-niece. He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Charles Bianchi, on January 9, 2017.
