New Bedford – Isaura D. Aguiar, age 64 of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Home. She was the beloved wife of Joao Aguiar and the daughter of the late Maria (Carvalho) and Antonio De Deus.
Isaura was born in Ribeira Quente, St. Michael, Azores. She was a line worker for various factories and later became a personal care attendant.
She is survived by her husband, Joao; daughters, Deborah Soares and her husband, Laurence and Maria Aguiar; grandchildren, John and Andrew; siblings, Eduarda, Antonio, Antero, Ernesto, Victor, Arminda and Arnold; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Ryan Aguiar.
Her visiting hours will be Friday from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Her funeral services will be Saturday, beginning in the funeral home at 7:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel at 8:30 A.M. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
