BAR MILLS- Bruce James Harris, age 64, passed away on Sept. 19, 2017 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
He was born in Sanford on Oct. 11, 1952, son of the late James and Dorothy (Gilbert) Harris and graduated from Sanford High School.
Bruce went on to work as a Sanford Police Officer, worked for Time Warner Cable, and worked for 20 years at the Cumberland County Jail as the kitchen supervisor. Both he and his wife also owned and operated Roge’s Restaurant in South Waterboro.
He will be remembered for his love of woodworking, working on electrical projects and cooking.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Bruce is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 47 years- Eileen (Alexander) Harris; daughter- Kathryn Underwood and her husband Kyle of Standish; grandchildren- James Ramsdell, Alexandria Underwood, and Hannah Underwood; and great grandchildren- Lilly Ramsdell and Emma Underwood.
Services will be private amongst his family.
