Obituary

Margaret A. (O’Rourke) Kingsbury, 78, of Medway, died Saturday, September, 16, 2017 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

She leaves her daughters Elizabeth “Lisa” Kingsbury and Jennifer Clark and her husband James, her son William Kingsbury, Jr. and his wife Deborah, and six grandchildren, Ryan, Kimberly, and Kristin Kingsbury and Emily, Sarah, and Katie Clark, all of Medway. She leaves one brother Thomas O’Rourke of Somerville. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Fahey and by her brothers John and Walter O’Rourke, and by her former husband William Kingsbury.

Mrs. Kingsbury grew up in Watertown, the daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret (Fahey) O’Rourke and graduated from St. Patrick’s High School and the former Boston City Hospital School of Nursing.

Mrs. Kingsbury worked as a registered nurse for over 20 years and as an executive assistant for 25 years, retiring in 2004. She was a volunteer for the Medway Library for several years. She enjoyed her family, music, knitting, reading, cooking, and visiting friends in Port Clyde, Maine. She loved to be near the ocean.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village Street in Medway on Monday, September 25 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
