Obituary

Vivian R. (Esper) Marchisio, 90, of Norwood, died Sunday, September 17th in St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband of 30 years, John E. Marchisio died in 2010. She is survived by her nephew John Bakstran and wife, Janet of Sutton and her niece, Carol Breeds and her husband, James of Auburn; a brother-in-law, Kenneth H. Bakstran and close friend, Josie Reynolds as well as two great nieces. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Gloria Daige and Virginia Bakstran.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Samuel and Lillian (Eblan) Esper; and was a graduate of the former High School of Commerce. Vivian had worked for many years as a bookkeeper for King's Department Stores in Newton.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 20th from 9:30 until 10:30 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by her funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 256 Hamilton Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA, 424 East 92nd Street, New York, NY 10128.
