Desmond, John F. of Randolph, formerly of Milton passed away peacefully in his loving family’s company on Friday, September 15, 2017. Born in Boston, Mr. Desmond grew up in Dorchester and graduated from English High School as well as Bentley College. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served the country during the Korean War and a former member of the VFW in Randolph. Mr. Desmond retired after many years from his career as an Accountant. The devoted father of John of Glenview, IL, James of Milton and Lynn Desmond of Norton, he is also survived by his cherished grandchildren; Nicholas, John, Danielle and Ross Desmond and Samantha Carreiro. He was the brother of Leo Desmond of Milton, Ann Berry of Franklin and Ellen O’Toole of Weymouth and the former husband of the late Sophia Desmond. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Hills Church, Milton, Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 11 am. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 am, prior to the Mass. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery.
