Mr. James “Jimmy” Davison, beloved husband of Claudia Beckworth Davison, entered into rest on Friday, September 15, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 18, 2017 at St. Mark UMC with the Rev. Linda Birchall officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Mr. Davison was the owner and operator of Davison’s Auto Service for over 40 years. He was a member and past president of the Augusta Sertoma Club, as well as being a member and past chairman of the Board of Directors of the Augusta Better Business Bureau. He was an active member of St. Mark UMC, where he served on the Board of Trustees. Mr. Davison was also a member of AA and had just recently celebrated 29 years of sobriety.
In addition to his wife, Claudia, he is survived by his sons; Mark Davison (Pam) and James Wiggie Davison, his grandchildren; James Collin Davison (Emily), Claudia Shea Davison and Bailey Alizabeth Davison, a great grandchild, James Fletcher Davison, his sister, Kathy Davison Dana (Bruce) and several nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Open-Door Sunday school class and the Wednesday morning Bible study at St. Mark UMC.
