Obituary

Maximin Chamberland, 94, of Woonsocket died Sunday September 10, 2017 at The Friendly Home. He was the husband of the late Vivian A. (Lafleur) Chamberland, Ruth Belanger and Phyllis Leblanc.
Born and raised in Maine he was a son of the late Maxim and Marie (Deprey) Chamberland. He lived in Connecticut and resided in Woonsocket for many years.
Mr. Chamberland was employed as a truck driver for several companies including Holliston Sand Co. and also worked at Lou’s Junkyard.
Max was member of the CB radio club and local pitch and cribbage leagues. He liked to read and play cards. Max most enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was the father of the late Thomas Chamberland, Jeannette Forcier, Mary Chamberland and Maxine Degree. He is survived by his children Kenneth, Robert and Gary Chamberland, Dennis Kershaw, Gerald Lapointe, Barbara Belanger, Paula and Nancy Chamberland, Judith Beauchemin, Stella Sanders, Denise Lafleur, Tina Chamberland, Vivian Daluz and Rose Beaudoin. He wsa the brother of Tony chamberland, Marie Samociuk, Jeannette Nemeth, and the late Henri Saucier, Wallace, Gilbert, Teddy and Leo Chamberland, Laurette Picard, Claire Michaud and Alma goding. He is also survived by 41 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and their families.
His funeral will be Monday at 8:30 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
