On September 13th 2017 Adrienne Borges passed away peacefully in her Taunton home while surrounded by her loving family following a long illness. Adrienne was the loving and devoted wife of the late Robert Borges. She was born in Taunton on March 29th 1937 to the late Antone and Margaret (Buckley) Pontes, where she enjoyed a great childhood. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. She and her husband were proud owners of Adrienne’s Coffee Shop and the Lamp Post Restaurant. Adrienne had a vibrant personality. She loved spending her summers with her family in North Truro where she would drive her dune buggy along Race Point Beach. Her favorite hobbies include cooking, dancing, and playing Michigan rummy. She is survived by her three children, Margaret “Peggy” Sousa, Robert Borges Jr. and Todd Borges, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her sister Antoinette Carvalho and her late sister Jacklyn Fonseca, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the O’Keefe-wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Monday, September 18th at 9 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday from 4-7 pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
