New Bedford – Elizabeth Ann (Dias) Besse, age 56 of New Bedford, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Debra Elizabeth Besse and was the daughter of William and Emily (Berry) Dias.
She was born in New Bedford and worked as a Health Unit Coordinator at St. Luke’s Hospital.
She is survived by her wife, Debra; daughter, Melissa Diaz and her husband, Jose; grandchildren, Ayana Dias, Ryan Chase, Kaylin Chase; mother-in-law, Rose M. Besse; brother-in-law, William Meyer; as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was also the sister of the late Edie Meyer.
Her visiting hours will be Friday evening at the funeral home between 4:00-7:00 P.M. A service will be held in her memory on Saturday morning at 11:00 A.M. at The Pilgrim United Church of Christ located on 634 Purchase Street, New Bedford.
