Barbara (Jones) (Mulloy) Cronin, age 56, of Marion, formerly of Brockton, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, surrounded by her family at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, after a brief illness of cancer. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late James T. and Marie J. (Cronin) Jones. Barbara was a 1979 graduate of Brockton High School. Until her recent illness, she was employed by Great Hill Trust in Marion. Her children were her pride and joy and Barbara was an amazing cook who graciously enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her four children, Michael C. Mulloy of Los Angeles, Catherine I. Mulloy of Raynham, Jenna J. Mulloy of South Boston and Emily F. Cronin of Marion. She was the sister of Alice M. Jones of Wareham, Kevin J. Jones and his wife Frances of Raynham, Jay Jones and his wife Debbie of Mattapoisett and Kathleen J. Reardon and her husband Jim of Natick. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Sunday 2-6pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Monday at 9am for a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s name may be made to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund, PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839.
