Mary A. Mattos, age 90 of Taunton, passed away on September 13, 2017 at Morton Hospital.
Mary was born in Dighton, a daughter of the late Manuel G. and Mary G. (Cardoza) Mattos.
Before retirement in 1989, Miss. Mattos was employed with the former Haskon Co. as a part marker for over 43 years.
She enjoyed reading, traveling, playing scrabble, jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Mary also enjoyed walking with her sister Cecelia in their neighborhood.
Miss. Mattos is survived by a sister; Cecelia Mattos, and a brother Anthony Mattos and his wife Diane both of Taunton and many nieces and nephews. Mary was also the sister of the late Rose, Joseph, Manuel and Francis Mattos.
Her funeral with visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 9 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Annunciation of the Lord Church First St, Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
