TEWKSBURY: Dorothy M. (Grace) Cullinan, age 88, a resident of Tewksbury for over 70 years, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital on Sunday, September 10, 2017.
Born in Boston on September 30, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Bertha E. (Shed) Grace and granddaughter of Walter Shed, who donated the land to the City of Lowell for the creation of Shed Park.
Dorothy was raised in Billerica, attended Billerica schools and graduated from Billerica High School.
She moved to Tewksbury in 1946, where she raised her five children.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Technician for Baird Atomics Company in Billerica. In addition, she provided home care to area children, and taught ballroom dancing.
Dorothy enjoyed cooking, carpentry and woodworking projects, traveling to Foxwoods Resort & Casino, and ballroom dancing.
She is survived by four children, Dorothy M. Moran and her husband George, of Andover, Walter A. “Chucky” Cullinan, of Tewksbury, Paul Cullinan and his wife Veronica, of Lowell, and Kathaleen E. Cullinan, of Tewksbury; seven grandchildren, Rachel Almeida, Sherri DeLuca and her husband Wayne, Shannon Sullivan and her husband Kevin, Krysten Mallon and her husband Ryan, Jon Paul Cullinan and his wife Mellisa, Leo Cullinan and his wife Mary, and Amber Cullinan; one brother, Leo Racca, of Riverdside, CA; twelve great grandchildren, Paul, Vanessa, Sabrina, Nya, Layla, Bella, Cole, Leo ,Liam, Payton, Rylee & Zack; also many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Dorothy was the mother of the late Leo J. Cullinan, Jr.
