Laconia----Wayne T. Goddard 70, of Laconia, NH, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017.
Wayne was born September 1, 1947 in Laconia, New Hampshire, son to Lyonel Theodore and Eleanor (Bean) Goddard. He graduated Laconia High School in 1966 and attended Plymouth State University. He enlisted in the United States Army from April 24, 1967 to November 25, 1969, during that time he served in Korea and later joined the Army National Guard from February 8, 1991 to February 7, 1992. Wayne worked in construction for a number of years and also worked as a caretaker at a local horse farm in Gilford, NH.
Wayne loved the outdoors, horses and also raised Dobermans for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved classic rock. He was very patriotic and loved his country. Wayne was a proud member of the NRA and was a longtime member of the VFW post 1670. Above all he loved his family and that was truly the most important to him.
Wayne is survived by his mother, Eleanor (Bean) Goddard of Laconia, a son, John Silvestri and his wife, Debbie of Wallingford, CT; three daughters, Jennifer Gagne and her husband, Ron of Tilton, Kristen LeFlem and her husband, Brandon of Reading, MA and Morgan Goddard and her fiancé, Sean Hudson of Rochester, NH; five grandchildren Johnny, Zachary, Chantel-Renée and her husband Joshua, Hillory and Beckett; two brothers, Shawn Goddard and Steven Goddard both of Laconia and his former wife and longtime friend Deborah Goddard. He is predeceased by his father, Lyonel Goddard and his three beloved Dobermans Silas, Star and Dalton.
There will be no calling hours or funeral.
Graveside services will be private.
