John R. Donckers
Bedford– John R. Donckers, 85, died September 9, 2017 at Bedford Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Manchester on November 1, 1931 the son of John and Blanche Donckers.
He served his country in the U. S. Army in the Korean War and then later in the U. S. Army Reserves.
He worked at Sears in Deliveries & Receiving for over 32 years.
He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Pauline (Partridge) Donckers on July 31, 2015.
Family members include two sons, Randy Donckers and his wife, Donna of Auburn, Barry Donckers and his partner, David Lusty of WA., two daughters, Patti Metayer and her husband Miles of Henderson, NC., Nancy Viveney of Holiday, FL., and four grandchildren, Andrea, Dustin, Joseph, and Christopher.
A memorial reception will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
Committal prayers with military honors will take place on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 10 am in NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
