Evelyn Muriel (Rowlett) Cole, 92, of Walpole, died September 9 in Norwood Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harvey M. Cole who died in 2000.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, May 16, 1925, the daughter of the late Arthur and Ellen (Hulton) Rowlett, Mrs. Cole was raised in Cranston and lived in Walpole for over 70 years.
Mrs. Cole had previously worked for the Gorham Silver Company.
She had been a Sunday school teacher at the United Church in Walpole and enjoyed doing ceramics.
Above all Evelyn’s family was her greatest joy.
She is survived by her children, Susan E. Grossman and her husband Roger of Wrentham, Stephen A. Cole and his wife Colleen of Franklin and Bradford R. Cole of Walpole and the late David M. Cole.
She was the sister of the late Warren Rowlett.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Heather Bertoni, Brendan, Cameron and Courtney Cole.
She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Giuliana and Valentina Bertoni.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 13 in the Ginley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 892 Main Street, Walpole at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Walpole.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.
