Elliot M. Ganz, age 85, born Oct. 28, 1931, entered into eternal rest on Sept. 5, 2017.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years Lorraine Kleinberg Ganz.
He is also survived by his 3 children, Donald Ganz of Marblehead/Swampscott and Karen Ganz of NH.
He is also survived by his dear brother Alan Ganz of Peabody and Del Ray, FL along with wife Roz, his dear sister Lois and her husband David Glickman, formerly of Peabody and now of Del Ray, FL, his brother Sydney of St. Louis and his wife Sandy, his sister Naomi of Peabody, his sister Roberta of Del Ray, FL. Elliot is also survived by his many nieces and nephews and their children who loved him dearly.
Elliot was a proud US Air Force Korean War Veteran, a retired Letter Carrier of the Malden Post Office, the afternoon and night time Jolly ice cream man in the neighborhoods of Everett and Malden, and retired again as a custodian for Filene’s and Macy’s in Peabody. Elliot was a regular contributor of blood to the Red Cross (over 9 gal.). He loved his family, his home, his lawn, his cars and most of all, the people he met, bringing smiles and laughs wherever he went. He will be missed!
Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Graveside Service on Sunday, Sept. 10, at 12 Noon at the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake Street, Peabody, MA. Donations can be made in honor and in memory of Elliot to The American Lung Association.
