Obituary

George E. Lamb, Sr. age 90 of Canton passed away September 3rd at the Norwood Hospital. Born in Cambridge, he was raised in Dorchester, and graduated from High School of Commerce. He went on to graduate from Stratford Business School in Boston, attended Suffolk University and served in the Navy during WW II. He worked as a Quality Control Supervisor for Raytheon Corporation for 38 years before retiring. He has lived in Canton for the last 20 years and previously lived in Roslindale for over 40 years. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed Square-dancing at Scrambled Eights in Walpole and summering on White Horse Beach in Plymouth. Beloved husband for 67 years of Helen T. (Goodrich). Father of Joan Chisholm and her husband Richard of W. Roxbury, George E. Lamb, Jr. of Marshfield, Kevin Lamb and his wife Margaret of Mesa, AZ, Richard Lamb and his wife Maureen of Norwood, Robert Lamb and his wife Joanne of Walpole, Maureen Chaisson and her husband Kenneth of Walpole, Paula Barry and her husband David of Walpole and Deborah Lamb of Canton. Brother of the late Charles and Arthur Lamb. Brother in law of Alma Lamb of Canton and the late Mary Lamb. Grandfather of Jeffrey, Laura, Kristen, Kevin, Janet, Michael, Meghan, Daniel, Stephen, Jennifer, Kelly, Sandra, Eric, Christopher, Micaela, George, Brendan, Emily, Jack, Kevin and Colleen. Also survived 16 great grandchildren. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Thursday 4-8 pm. Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Friday morning at 10:30. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Navy Veteran WW II.
