Nicola Luciana 85 “A Good Man”
On the evening of September 1, 2017, beloved Nicola Luciana passed on peacefully to the Kingdom of Heaven surrounded by his loving wife Giovanna, sons Lino and Nicki, daughter Rosanna husband Jack loving brother Alerto and grand children Rachel and Jennifer.
Nicola Luciani was born June 24, 1932 in the village comuni of Pescosansonesco in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Nicola the son of Ferrara and Maria Luciani is a direct descendant of Blessed Saint Nunzio Sulprizio who’s mother was Rosa Luciani.
Nicola began his life journey in Pesco Nuovo Italy at the age of 17 when he eloped with the love of his live Giavanna Confalone who would remain his loving wife for 67 years. Shortly after their marriage and the birth of their son Lino, the young family moved to England where Nicola could find work in the coal mines of Wales and there have a second child, a daughter which they would name Rosanne.
In 1963 Nicola would move his family one final time to the United States where he would later have one more child, a son which he named Nicki and achieve the American Dream.
Nicola will be fondly remembered for his hard work, gentle manner, love of gardening and tomato’s, walks with his wife and visiting his many children, grand children and great grand children. He will be dearly missed but the lessons we learned from him will remain forever in our hearts.
Nicola is survived by his wife Giovanna, his three children Lino, Rosanne and Nicki, his brother Alberto and his 6 grand children and 10 great grand children.
Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Tuesday, September 5th from 11am to 3pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, North Lauderdale, Florida.
