Obituary

Power, Richard F. of Norwood and Chatham formerly of Mission Hill Aug. 28, 2017. Beloved husband of Marie (Maguire) Power. Loving father of Siobhan Santisi and her husband Frank, Meredith Nichols and her husband Mark and Jennifer Power and her husband Robert Litterer all of Westwood and Richard M. Power of Norwood. Devoted grandfather of Michael, Katherine, Monica, Caroline, Elena and Justin. Brother of Robert M. Power of Saipan and Ruth Campbell of Weymouth and the late Justin and Leo Power, Mary Lou Brennan and Margaret J. Shea. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Devoted son of the late Justin “Ducky” and Marion (Brannelly) Power. Funeral from the Holden - Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home 55 High Rock St. Westwood on Friday September 1st at 8:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass in the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help “The Mission Church” at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Thursday 3pm – 7pm. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Late Veteran U.S. Army Korean Conflict. A graduate of Boston College Class of 1953 Richard received his Master's Degree from Boston State College and his CAGS from Boston University. Late teacher, administrator and basketball coach at both Randolph High School and Mission High School. Late member of the Mission Hill Post #327 and the Boston Lodge of Elks West Roxbury. The Power family would like to thank Dr. Ajay K. Singh of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital for his kindness and expertise in caring for Richard. Remembrances in memory of Richard may be made to the Mission Grammar School 94 St. Alphonsus St. Boston, MA 02120.
