O'BRIEN, Charles T., JR. Of Dedham, died surrounded by family on August 22, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Helen M. (Connolly) O'Brien for 50 years. Devoted father of Barbara Mofford of Dedham, Shawn O'Brien and his wife Wendy of Bloomingdale, NY, Charles O'Brien and his wife Gigi of Bellingham, Colleen O'Brien of Stoughton, Kelley O'Brien and her partner John Martel of Dedham, and the late Andrew O'Brien. Grandfather of Tim, Melissa, Travis, Joey, and Nikki Mofford, Connor and Meagan O'Brien, Chucky IV and Bridget O'Brien, Tyler and Emily Martel, and the late Matthew Mofford. Sister and cherished friend Alice Brown of Weymouth and the late Andrew O'Brien. Son of the late Charles T. O'Brien Sr. and Edith McDonald.
Charlie will be fondly remembered as a loving father, papa, and great friend to so many. Trips to Castle Island to enjoy a hot dog or hot pastrami sandwich always put a smile on his face. He was a member of the Dedham VFW 2017, Knights of Columbus of 234, Moose Lodge 189 and Boston Elks Lodge #10.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St. Dedham on Monday August 28 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Dedham at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Sunday August 27, from 4-8pm. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
