Joaquim Maria DeMatos (72) of Stoughton died August 21st in the Good Samaritan Medical Center. He was the husband of Alzira (Belo) DeMatos.
He was born in Mortoza, Portugal son of the late Manuel and Isaura DeMatos. He was a welder by trade. Communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton. Joaquim enjoyed walking, reading, drawing and watching Brazilian soccer.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Susana Almeida of Stoughton, a son Renato DeMatos of Brazil, a sister Maria Portella of Portugal, 5 grand and 1 great granddaughter.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Saturday August 26th from 5-8 pm. Cremation to follow.
