Paula L. (Daniels) McGee, a 38 year resident of Medford and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at her home in Medford surrounded by her loving family. She was 71 years old.
Paula was born in Boston on December 23, 1945, a daughter of the late Paul Daniels and Helen L. (Hally) Daniels-Carr and step-daughter of the late Frank H. Carr. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated at St. Catherine's Parochial School and graduated from Matignon High School in Cambridge in 1963. Paula then furthered her education and received her Teaching Degree from Boston State College. Paula was a 6th grade teacher at St. Joseph's School in Medford for many years. She was very active in the affairs surrounding St. Joseph's Parish, including being a Eucharistic Minister where she would visit the elderly and sick at their homes to administer communion and was in charge of the CCD program and the confirmation group each year. Paula enjoyed knitting in her spare time and took great pride any time she was able to help people in need, but her passion in life was the love and admiration she had for her family.
Paula is the beloved wife of 47 years to Robert F. "Bob" McGee. She is the devoted mother of Kristin Wasilewski and her husband David and Alyssa McGee. She is the loving Nanny to Matthew and Juliet. She is the beloved sister of Elaine Graham, Mary O'Brien and her husband Willis "Billy" and the late William "Billy" Daniels and his surviving wife Joan. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Paula's Funeral on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 10 A.M from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church, 118 High St. Medford at 11:30 A.M. Her burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Her visiting hours will be on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
