Obituary

Fred D. Walker, age 65, of Middleboro, formerly of Abington and Whitman, died Thursday August 17, 2017 at Golden Living Center-Oak Hill in Middleboro after a lengthy illness. Fred was born in Brockton and raised in Abington by the late Sylvia and Earl Harris. He was a graduate of Abington High School, class of 1970.

During the Vietnam War Fred served in the US Air Force. He was an electrician by trade and had last worked at Osmonics Vaponics in Rockland.

In his free time, Fred liked to cook, fish and work around his yard. He was a gifted jack of all trades and could fix just about anything.

Fred is survived by his children Chris Walker of N. Attleboro, Katie Walker of Brockton and Tim Walker of Mashpee and four grandchildren Andrew and Connor Walker, Jordan Walker and Kassidy Holland. He was the brother of Linda Croal of Reading, Deborah Harris Slonina and Dean Harris both of Abington. He is also survived by the mother of his children Joan (Peloquin) Walker of Mashpee.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Golden Living Center-Oak Hill and Compassionate Care Hospice for their kind and loving care of Fred.
