Boit, Nancy K. of Jamaica Plain, formerly of Dedham, passed away on August 14, 2017 at home with her family. Born in Waterbury, CT and raised in Middlebury, CT, the daughter of Lawrence G. and Marion A. Kunkel, Nancy graduated from St. Margaret’s School in Waterbury, CT and DePauw University. Her first marriage to Richard V. Stout ended with his untimely death and by whom she had two daughters – Wendy D. Stout of New York City and Cynthia G. Stout of Annapolis, MD. She is also survived by her loving husband of thirty-seven years Charles S. Boit and his sons Christopher S. Boit of Lincoln, MA, Peter G. Boit of Sammamish, WA, and David Boit of Brookline, MA. “Mom”, as she was known, had a profound and loving effect on all children, stepchildren and grandchildren. She was an ardent gardener all her life, attending to the smallest detail. Her other great joy was shelling at Sanibel Island. Services are private within the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to St. Paul’s Church in Dedham or The Boston Children’s Museum.
