Obituary

Dorothy Jean (Booker) Blondin, 74, of Worcester, died peacefully on Tuesday August 15, 2017 in her home with family by her side.
She leaves three children, John DeSimone of Worcester; Gina Lemerise and her husband Michael of Worcester and Christine Clarke and her husband Dale of Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Dorothy was predeceased by her son Anthony DeSimone and is survived by a daughter-in-law, Luann DiPerrio of Holden; nine grandchildren, T.J., Mandie, Darcey, Joshua, Tony, Miranda, Daley, Riley and Aubrey, several great-grandchildren, two sisters, Carol Pavone of Shrewsbury and Patricia Fratantonio and her husband Domenic of Shrewsbury and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by two sisters and a brother, Ruth McDonald, Phyllis Murphy and Richard Booker. Dorothy was born in Worcester a daughter of the late Phillip and Dorothy Jean (Baker) Booker and has lived here all of her life.
Dorothy worked as a housekeeper for more than 25 years for Blaire House of Worcester and retired two years ago. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Church. Dorothy loved spending time with her family and enjoyed trips to the casino with her friend Rosie.
The funeral will be held on Friday August 18, 2017 with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in St. Stephen Church, 357 Grafton Street. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday August 18, from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the Mass in St. Stephen’s Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dorothy’s memory may be made to VNACare Fund Development Office 199 Rosewood Drive, Suite 180, Danvers, MA 01923. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, is assisting the family.
