Anne Marie (Durazzano) Soroko, 68, of Londonderry, NH passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 from heart failure at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack. She was born September 18, 1948 in Cambridge, MA a daughter of the late Pasquale and Lucy (Mancussi) Durazzano.
She worked in the beauty business for many years. She enjoyed gardening and crafts such as painting and cake decorating. She cherished celebrating the holidays and entertaining family and friends.
As a loving wife and mother, she made a house a home. She was compassionate about Jesus and His Holy Mother Mary. As a devoted Catholic, she instilled her faith upon her family and many of her friends. Her family would describe her as loving, kind, compassionate, sensitive, generous, self-sacrificing, prayerful, and devoted to her Catholic Faith.
Her love of Jesus Christ, Holy Mass and Eucharistic Adoration brought peace and love in her life and lead her to coordinating Eucharistic Adoration at St. Mark’s Parish for over ten years.
Although her illness brought her much pain and suffering, her faith in God kept her strong.
Over the last few years her health diminished, preventing her from communicating with family and friends. Although she could not welcome them for a visit, she held the intentions of her family and friends in her heart and her prayers.
She leaves her loving husband of 41 years, Kenneth Soroko, Sr., her two children, Fr. Kenneth Soroko, Jr. CPM. Of Glasgow, KY and Matthew Soroko of Derry, NH, a daughter-in-law Kirsten and granddaughter Brooke Marie, a brother, Louis Durazzano and his wife Pamela, nephew, David Durazzano and his wife Sheri, and niece Jennifer Durazzano-Smith and her husband Matthew. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Nancy Rose Durazzano.
Calling hours were held on Sunday August 20, 2017 from 1 – 5pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A prayer service was offered at 4:15, followed by a presentation of the Holy Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, August 21st at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Burial followed in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Route 102, Hudson.
