Diane M. Berghelli 71, a former longtime Franklin resident, died peacefully, Monday August 14, 2017 at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehab-Highgate in Dedham, following an illness.
Born June 22, 1946 in Norwood, a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary E. (Silvi) Berghelli, she was a resident of Dedham, for the past two years.
She was raised and educated in Franklin, was a graduate of Franklin High School and received her bachelor’s degree in teaching from Worcester State College. Diane taught elementary school in the Milford school system. After teaching, she took a job at Dedham Medical Associates as an accounts payable clerk, where she worked until retiring.
Diane enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her niece & nephew, reading and shopping. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Franklin.
She is survived by a brother, James A. Berghelli, RPh MS and his wife Mary M. Berghelli of Bridgewater, a niece Nicole A. Holleran and her husband Joseph of Bridgewater, a nephew Dr. Anthony V. Berghelli and his fiancé Dr. Sara Cathcart of Hope, Rhode Island and a great niece Hannah S. Holleran.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Saturday Aug. 19th at 11:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 12Noon.
Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
Calling hours are Friday from 4-6PM at the funeral home.
