Robert A. Cormier, age 81, of West Bridgewater, formerly of East Bridgewater, died August 13, 2017 at home with his family. He was the loving husband of the late Constance L. (Lagasse) Cormier. Born in Quincy, he was the son of the late William and Esther (Levangie) Cormier. He was raised and educated in Rockland and was a Navy Veteran of Vietnam. For many years he had been employed as a Technician repairing hospital and dental equipment and retired from the US Post Office.
Bob was a member of the East Bridgewater Gun Association and NARFE. He liked to travel, camp, garden and cook. He also enjoyed repairing electronics, puzzles and all animals.
Bob was the father of Katherine A. Cormier of Wareham, Joan M. Cormier of New Bedford and Jennifer McMasters of West Bridgewater; grandfather of Benjamin, Timothy and Luke Cormier and Kyle Nowlin; great grandfather of Devon and Destiny Cormier and Adrian Rodriguez and Angel Teague and great great father of Stella Cormier and Valerie Elderedge.
Services will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Thursday August 24, 2017 at 12:45pm. Visiting Hours are omitted. Please consider donations in Bob’s name to the South Shore Humane Society, c/o Robert Philbrick, 73 Metzler Road, East Bridgewater, MA 02333.
