Matthew J. Adams, age 40, of Taunton, formerly of Abington passed away peacefully, in the comfort of his home, on Monday, August 14, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Michelle L. (Dion) Adams, to whom he was wed for seventeen years.
Born in Weymouth, MA on July 2, 1977, he was a loving son of John G. and Linda C. (Holden) Adams of Abington.
Matt grew up in Abington and was a1995 graduate of Abington High School, and had attended UMass Dartmouth.
Matt was an Assistant Vice-President in the Mutual Funds Department at State Street, in the companies Quincy Office. He had made his home in Taunton for the past fifteen years and previously resided in Abington.
Family and friends were the focal point of Matt’s life. He was very involved in his children’s activities, which included coaching their baseball and soccer teams.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his devoted children Coby M. Adams, Lucas R. Adams, Vanessa K. Adams and Nathan J. Adams all of Taunton. He was the dear brother Ryan D. Adams and his wife Kimberly of South Weymouth, and the late Michael S. Adams, Robert G. Adams and Jeffrey T. Adams. He was the son-in-law of Rene Dion and Christine Dion, and is also survived by his loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Visiting hours on Tuesday, August 22nd from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave) Norton.
A service in celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, August 23rd from 1:00-5:00 P.M. at the Lafayette Club, 19 Lakeview Ave., Taunton
