Annette N. (Labonte) Audet, 104, of Lawrence, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2017, surrounded by her devoted family, at the Cedar View Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Methuen.
Annette was born December 10, 1912 to her hardworking parents, Wilfred and Eva (Prince) Labonte in Quebec, Canada. At the tender age of 9, her parents immigrated to the Merrimack Valley where she lived in Lawrence for 95 years of her life. Annette married the love of her life, Albert Audet, in a simple ceremony in June, 1934 at Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence. Living in the same home for over 80 years, she and her husband raised their family. Later in life Annette worked for ITT as an assembler for 15 years. She was fond of home decorating and taking pride in home ownership. Annette was a long time member of Sacred Heart Parish and later in life was a communicant for St. Matthew’s Church in Windham. She was proud of the five generations of her family and will truly be missed.
Annette is survived by her two devoted sons, Roger Audet and his wife Priscille of Salem, NH, and Paul Audet of Honolulu, HI. She was the proud grandmother to her 9 grandchildren, great-grandmother to her 14 great-grandchildren and the great-great-grandmother to her 2 great-great-grandchildren. Annette is also survived by her two sisters, Gabrielle Meehan of Sandown, NH and Beatrice Rizzo of Manchester, NH and is the beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Annette was predeceased by her husband, Albert, with whom she celebrated 40 years of marriage, her son Edgar Audet, her brother Paul Labonte and her five sisters; Jeanne Berube, Rita Sipsey, Yvette Labonte, Bertha Croteau, and Carmel Rondeau.
Visitation for Annette will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 9-11 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 80 Corbett Street, Andover, MA. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home is proud to serve the Audet Family.
