Louis “Louie” Felix, 48, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Morton Hospital.
Louie was born in Brockton, a son of Francisco and Maria ( Melo) Felix.
For many years he worked in the construction field throughout New England as a cement pump truck operator.
He enjoyed being with his family at family gatherings, or on a Sunday afternoon watching the Patriots. Louie had a passion for raising small farm animals, hunting, making wine, and helping his parent’s with their fruit and vegetable garden. Whenever you went to visit Louie, his dog and “Best” friend Pantufa was at his side. Pantufa would always wait at the door for Louie to arrive home from work.
Many friends and family would ask Louie to help with the many skills he displayed; carpentry, title work, cement, patio and brick layer. Louie would often put others ahead of himself.
Louie, we all love you, already so deeply missed! You were taken from us to soon!
Besides his loving parents, he is survived by his siblings; Joe Felix and his wife Carmen, Rosa Chaves and her husband Joe, Helen DeLisle and her husband Jack, Laurinda Camara and her husband Peter, Tony Felix and his wife Janine, John Felix, Michael Felix and his wife Priscila. He was also the uncle of Timothy, Kimberly, Amy, Jason, Melanie, Megan, Joshua, Kaitlynn, Cassaundra, Matthew, Alyssa, Carissa, Jarred, Kayla, Alicia, Tyler and Nicholas, and great uncle of fifteen. He was the godfather of Cassaundra Camara.
Louie’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 8:45 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square )Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church, School St. Taunton.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, August 15th from 5 to 8 pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
