Stacey R. Boyden, 52

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Stacey R. (Church) Boyden, age 52, a lifelong resident of Mansfield passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the loving longtime companion of Mark R. Deardon of Mansfield.

Born in Norwood, MA on July 22, 1965, she was the loving daughter of Mildred F. (Hurley) Hughes and her husband Larry of North Attleboro, and Willard R. Church and his wife Beth of Alaska.

Stacey grew up in Mansfield and was a 1983 graduate of Mansfield High School. She furthered her education, graduating from the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School.

Stacey had worked for twenty-six years in the mortgage department at Eastern Bank in Brockton and was a member of the banks Quarter Century Club.

Stacey’s favorite times by far where those spent with her adoring family. Her hobbies included gardening, decorating, entertaining, country western music, attending concerts, summer months spent at Wellfleet beaches on Cape Cod and being especially devoted to animals.

In addition to her companion and parents, she is survived by her dear sisters Lisa D. Gardner and her husband Albert of North Attleboro and Suzanne M. Church of Mansfield. She was the devoted aunt of Emily Gardner and Benjamin Gardner. She was the stepmother of Lori L. Naismith of Norton and Debra L. Newport of Taunton. She was the grandmother of Drew and Travis, and the former wife of the late Gary S. Boyden. She is also survived by her faithful best friends “Fritz” and “Bandit”.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a graveside funeral service on Friday, August 18th at 11:00 A.M. at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 17th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.

In lieu of flowers, Stacey’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215.
