Rosa Lobo (87) of Brockton died August 10th in the Royal of Fairhaven Nursing Facility. She was the wife of the late Procopio Lopes Correia.
She was born in Mosteiros, Fogo, Cabo Verde the daughter of the late Gregorio and Maria (DeBarros) Semedo. Rosa was a mid-wife in Cabo Verde and just loved helping others.
Survivors include 3 sons, Jordao Lopes Correia of Cabo Verde, Vasco and Juvinal Lopes Correia both of Brockton, 4 daughters, Maria A. of Rhode Island, Maria L. of New Bedford, Maria Durce and Marie I. Lopes Correia both of Cabo Verde, (also the late Maria Felismina), 2 sisters, Tchuca and Gunda Semedo both of Praia, Cabo Verde, many grand and great grandchildren.
Services in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Monday August 28th at 8 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 9 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Sunday August 27th from 5-9 pm.
