Dorothy Andrews Whitaker, 88, beloved wife of 65 years of the late Rex Whitaker, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 9, 2017.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Westover Memorial Park with Chaplain Frankie May officiating.
Mrs. Whitaker worked in Civil Service at Fort Gordon. She worked in the commissary, Eisenhower Hospital, and also with the Finance Company on post. Mrs. Whitaker loved camping and travelling in her RV. She loved having a good time playing dominoes, cards, and was the Queen of balloon volleyball. She will be remembered for her happy, perky spirit.
Mrs. Whitaker is survived by her daughters, Linda W. Smith (Steve) of Lawrenceville, GA, Diane W. Gregory (Dewey) of North Augusta, SC, and Becky Whitaker of Lawrenceville, GA; her brother, C.H. Andrews of Warrenton, VA; her grandchildren, Daryl Ford, Derek Ford, Jason W. Smith, and Stephanie Mullis; and by her 3 great-granddaughters.
