Lennette Denise Rowland, 59, of Brockton, MA passed away in Brockton Hospital on August 1, 2017 surrounded by her family and friends. Lennette was born in Miami, Florida on March 6, 1958 to Margie and Charles Rowland. She attended Miami Carol City Senior High School.
Lennette worked as a Title Clerk at the Registry of Motor Vehicles for many years and enjoyed participating in church activities and cooking. She also enjoyed being on the track team in her earlier years. Lennette was also a proud member of New Mount Calvary Worship & Praise Ministries and a former member of St John Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the Kelly Choir and was in charge of the Junior Usher Board.
Lennette is survived by her sons Dexter Rowland and Khaleel Abdul-Nur, brothers Kim Rowland and Charles Rowland, grandchildren Sofia Rowland and Dashawn Rowland, nieces Donna Morris, Kari Rowland, Nakysha Walker, Keela McKinnon and nephew Alexander Rowland and was predeceased by mother and father Margie and Charles Rowland, sisters Ella Walker, Patricia Morris and Donna Rowland and nephew Richard Walker III.
The visitation will be held Monday, August 14, 2017 from 10 AM until 11 AM at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM also at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. The burial will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery. A repast will follow at St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
