Jennie H. (Tonaszuck) Linskey, 93, of Medway passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Bethany Health Care Center in Framingham. She was the beloved wife of Henry J. Linskey who passed away in 1986.
Born in Boston on October 9, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Dimytro and Delia (Deason) Tonaszuck.
Mrs. Linskey grew up in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. She has been a resident of Medway for the past 23 years and formerly resided in Malden, Dorchester and Randolph.
Before her retirement, she worked as a secretary for several businesses.
Mrs. Linskey was an active member of the Medway Senior Center where she would attend dinners and play bingo. She enjoyed reading, loved to go out for dinner with friends and enjoyed dancing with her husband in her younger years.
A loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her greatest joy in life was her family.
She is survived by her daughter Patricia Ferriero and her husband Robert of Medway and her son Paul Linskey and his wife Peggy of Bridgewater.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Gregory, James, and David Ferriero and Meghan, Erin and Christopher Linskey and four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Jack, Luke and Izabella Ferriero.
She was the sister of the late Mary Littera and Anthony, Walter and John Tonaszuck.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) on Wednesday, August 9 at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 10 a.m.
Burial will take place privately at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden at a later date.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Jennie’s family request that donations be made in her memory to the Medway Senior Center, 76 Oakland St., Medway, MA 02053.
